This bib was designed for construction with plasic or vinyl fabrics, which are best used with a
drip pocket. It is
also suitable for Cotton Flannelette, Tablecloth Fabric or any fabric that is absorbent
and launders well.

#1. Sewing Instructions
Clear Plastic / Bias Tape Finish
Step #1 *Use tissue paper when stitching plastic to prevent bunching,remove paper
after stitching is done*
Cut out pieces using the inside lines.
Cut 2 Yoke Pieces- there are 3 different yokes to choose from *cut one yoke if using
plastic*
B. Yoke with tie ends - not suitable for clear plastic
C. Yoke - suitable for a narrow bias tape
not suitable
for clear plastic
D. Yoke - suitable for bias tape including the wide type
suitable for
clear plastic
Cut 1 Body Piece
Step #2 Finish Body Piece
Finish each side with Bias Tape, finish
bottom with Bias Tape.
Sew Bias tape around whole drip pocket piece. Place on main body at markings and stitch around bottom of pocket,
then sew a verticle line at center front of
pocket.
Step #3 Assemble the
Yoke Place wrong sides together, *with plastic use one
yoke* finish with Bias Tape
Stitch body to yoke between circles. Use 2 lines of stitching
one on either edge of bias tape
Step # 5 Velcro
Fit the bib for Velcro placement and stitch in place. If using clear plastic, place a
decorative patch on the visible side of the plastic to hide
velcro.
#2. Sewing Instructions - Facing
Step #1
Cut out pieces using the outside lines.
Cut 2 Yoke Pieces- there are 2 different yokes to choose from
B. Yoke with tie ends - suitable for facing
C. Yoke - suitable for facing
Cut 1 Body Piece
Step #2 Finish Body Piece
Turn 1/4 inch hem on each side, then
finish bottom the same
way.
Step #3 Assemble the
Yoke Stitch body, right sides together, to one of the yoke
pieces between circles. Open the body from the yoke.
Place the second yoke on the other, right sides together. Sew on stitching line leaving a 4 inch opening for
turning. Clip seams, turn, slipstitch the opening
closed. Press carefully and topstitch if you
choose.
Step # 5 Velcro
Fit the bib for Velcro placement and stitch in
place.
