This is designed to be wiped down instead of laundered. The drip pockets are necessary on a plastic bib because the fabric is not absorbent so that the drips will run down and drip past the bib if there is nothing to catch them.
| This bib is sewn from vinyl tablecloth fabric with a woven backing and clear plastic drip pockets. The pattern is suitable for vinyl upholstry with a self fabric bias trim. This means that it can be easily wiped down | ![]() |

Sewing Instructions:
How to make a bib for seniors.
Step #1
Step #2
Sew Bias tape along the top edge of the Drip Catcher. Positon the drip catcher on the main piece at markings. Sew a verticle line of stitching at the center line of the drip catcher, using a sheet of tissue paper to prevent the machine from catching on the plastic.
Step #3
Sew Bias tape around neck edge, then around large edge of bib. Finish with short ends turning the ends of the bias tape to finish bias tape.
Step # 4 Velcro
Fit the bib for Velcro placement and stitch in place.
Tip #1 - Washing
When using Velcro, close before laundering.
This will minimize damage to other clothing in the laundry load.
I will prevent bibs from snarling up if you are washing several at a time.
Tip #2 - Traveling
Bring an attractive bib along for long airline flights where eating will be required.
Tip #3 - Traveling
Everyone can use a bib on long car trips to save yourself from spills.
Tip #4 - Cosmetics
Keep a bib in the bathroom to slip on before applying make-up.
